Gone Reading International has pledged 100% of after-tax profits to fund reading related charities in the developing world.  All donations are made to charitable organizations with 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service in the United States.  The bulk of our charitable contributions benefit three organizations: READ Global and Ethiopia Reads, and BiblioWorks.

Since its founding, Gone Reading International has been run completely by volunteers, with no salary costs incurred to date.  No compensation, salary or dividends have been paid to company owners/founders Brad & Eileen Wirz.  As a recent start-up, the company has yet to turn a profit.  However, as a social enterprise we’re committed to making charitable contributions even during the start-up phase.

Given the large investments we’re making in our future, we expect significant growth in our revenues and charitable contributions in 2013 and beyond.
